Hello Californian friends,

I want to bring to your attention, the proposition SCA5 will greatly impact Asian kids admission ratio in UC system. We need to act to protect our next generation's rights.

*******************
The main purpose of this proposition is: currently the Asian new enrollments are about 35% in CA public universities( UC and CA state universities). This proposition was proposed by Ed Hernandez. It is trying to suppress Asian enrollment rate to 13% to benefit Latinos. If this proposition becomes law, it will affect Asian kids greatly. Asian kids works so hard, but they will lose the chance by 22% to enter UC or CA state universities. They deserve equal chance to go to UC and CA state universities!
Now this SCA-5 has passed in CA senate. If it also passed in the assembly, it will be put on ballot to vote in Nov 2014.

Please vote NO on SCA 5, the constitutional amendment to repeal provisions implemented through the enactment of Proposition 209. I believe preferential treatment based on races in college admission is violating the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Children who study and work hard deserve equal opportunity in college admission regardless of their races. I strongly urge you to vote "No"on SCA 5. Thank you.

Thanks for your attention. Please help to spread the words, friends circle, school mailing list, church mailing list, etc.
