Apple (AAPL)

AAPL will report fourth quarter earnings this afternoon at 16:30. The conference call is scheduled or 17:00.
Chief Executive Tim Cook has consistently delivered strong results, beating estimates on the top and bottom line five quarters in a row.
Most of the focus will be on fiscal first quarter guidance for the holiday period after the company recently refreshed nearly its entire product lineup.
The stock broke to an all time high following strong third quarter results after the company offered upside revenue guidance for the second quarter in a row in August.
Revenue growth improved sequentially for the eighth straight quarter (to 17%). Upside came from iPhone ASPs (+19%) and service revenue (+31%).
Capital IQ consensus calls for Q4 EPS up 34% to $2.78 with revenue up 17% to $61.55 billion. The company guided for revenue of $60-62 billion and gross margins of 38.0-38.5% (consensus was $59.4 billion and 38.3% at the time).
The Street is expecting Q4 iPhone shipments +2.8% to 48.0 million. Apple does not break down iPhone sales by model, but Apple has been able to grow APs to offset the flat/saturated smartphone market. iPhone ASP is expected to grow ~18% to ~$730.
Services revenue is expected to grow 20% to ~$10.3 billion. iPad sales are expected to fall slightly to 10.2 ahead of the product refresh announced this week. Mac shipments are expected to fall 9% to 5.0 mln.
Consensus calls for Q1 revenue up 5% to $92.9 billion; gross is expected to expand 20 basis points to 38.6%. Guidance is the key metric for this report because it represents the important holiday shipping quarter and any potential demand from newly released products.
Apple just refreshed its iPhone X models with three new devices (the iPhone Xs, XsMax, and the Xr). The iPhone Xs and Xmax were released in late September. Therefore, the first week or so of sales will be included in this quarter's results. The company also refreshed its iPad and Mac lineups, but those will not be released until the first fiscal quarter.
As far as tariffs, Apple (AAPL) received an exemption for its smartphone and smart watch products. However, sales out of China (+19% last quarter) will be of interest.
Analyst Notes: Wedbush says the results for the quarter take a back seat to the main event which will be the company's highly anticipated guidance for the upcoming December quarter and thus represents a key barometer of health for the all-important XS/XR iPhone demand cycle. Overall total revenues and EPS of $61.6 billion and $2.78, respectively, should be met with higher ASPs and a healthy services performance potentially driving a headline beat. They continue to believe XR will be a linchpin around Cupertino's success in further penetrating the China consumer market over the next year with our estimates that roughly 60 million to 70 million iPhones in this key region are in the window of opportunity to upgrade.
With a $1.05 trillion market cap, AAPL trades 18.5x EPS or 15.8x FY19 estimates
Suppliers to keep on radar include: SWKS, CRUS, AVGO, FNSR, QRVO, QCOM, LITE, FNSR (SMH)
Based on the weekly AAPL Nov02 $217.5 straddle, the options market is currently pricing in a move of ~5% in either direction by weekly expiration (Friday)
On a positive report, look for resistance near the $223-224 area, while support sits near the $207-208 vicinity.

Bữa tôi bị AMZN nó quật cú hơi nặng. May mà có thằng Elon Musk kíu bồ nên cũng nhẹ tội phần nào. Bữa nay nhợn tay nên bán TQQQ trong ngày.
Còn giữ chút đỉnh NUGT và SPXS (coi như gambling nhỏ) vì không có ôm bự và dài hạn như long term investment. Looked like Trái Táo is not going to make it this quarter. Phần lớn EPS các stocks đều beat mà guidance và revenue thì lãnh án tử.

Nếu GOP thắng cả 2 viện —> Market will go up high
If DEM/GOP goes one/one —> Market will still go up a bit (according to many analysts)
