Việt Nam bị tố giác trước tòa án xử Khmer Ðỏ ở Phnom Penh

Một nhà sử học người Anh hôm thứ Ba đã ra khai trước tòa án ở Phnom Penh đang xét xử các cựu thủ lĩnh Khmer Đỏ về quan hệ giữa Việt Nam với Khmer Đỏ, tổ chức chịu trách nhiệm về cái chết của gần hai triệu người Campuchia.





Nhà sử học Philip Short đã nói trước tòa án có sự hậu thuẫn của Liên Hiệp Quốc như sau:


“Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam có một vai trò không thể chối cãi là đã xen vào công việc của Khmer Đỏ. Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam có một vai trò không thể chối cãi là đã chịu trách nhiệm chính trong việc trang bị và huấn luyện cho Khmer Đỏ.” ...

Philip Short describes Vietnam’s relationship to Khmer Rouge at UN Tribunal


British historian Philip Short took the stand for the second day at the U.N.-backed Khmer Rouge tribunal Tuesday, as he continued to describe the relationship between Vietnamese communists and their Cambodian counterpart.

Short, the 68-year-old author of “Pol Pot: Anatomy of a Nightmare,” told the court Tuesday that the Vietnamese had an “undeniable” interest in the Khmer Rouge, providing support and training for the communist insurgency in its early days.

Short is testifying in the atrocity crimes trial of Khmer Rouge leaders Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan. Much of his testimony on Tuesday was centered around the relationship between the regime and Vietnam, which would eventually become its enemy.

“That the Vietnamese were largely responsible, principally responsible, for arming and training the [Khmer liberation] is undeniable,” he said. This, according to Short, created a conundrum for the Khmer Rouge...

Chính cộng sản VN trươc´ 1975 đã phái ngươì qua giúp cho đảng cộng sản Khmer Đỏ có thể leo lên cầm quyền. Giúp cho Khmer Đỏ (đảng cộng sản Campuchia) của Pol Pot là sai lầm . Ngươì dân Việt đã phải trả giá vì sự sai lầm của đảng cộng sản VN .
