Thế rồi 2 năm sau, Donald đòi lên $5.6 tỷ (hết còn cái giá $800 triệu của “thủa ban đầu”). Quốc hội không phê chuẩn, Donald làm nư, đóng cửa chính phủ 5 tuần lễ liền, làm thiệt hại $11 tỷ bạc (khoảng $8 tỷ sau này từ từ lấy lại được, còn $3 tỷ kia thì “cuốn theo chiều dzó” luôn) để rồi hôm nay xảy ra “sự cố” dưới đây:

The resolution passed 59-41 – with 12 Republicans joining every Democrat. Trump Raises Specter Of Supporters Turning Violent If They Don’t Get Their Way

“I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of Bikers for Trump,” the president warns.

President Trump warned in an interview that his supporters could “play tough” and make things “very, very bad” if they “reach a certain point.” He cited the police, military and Bikers for Trump as his backers.

He didn’t define what that “certain point” might be in the Breitbart interview published Tuesday. But the implication was that his supporters would stand for a limited amount of political decisions that they opposed until the “tough people” made things “very, very bad.” Violence by a military opposed to political decisions would be a coup.

“I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of Bikers for Trump,” he said. “I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.”
The president also noted that the “left” plays it “cuter and tougher.” But he didn’t indicate that the “left” would go overboard at any point.

Trump has hinted at possible violence by his supporters a number of times and has even supported it. During his campaign, he once encouraged supporters to “beat the crap out of” protesters, offering to pay the legal fees of anyone who did.

Trump hinted at possible violence by Bikers for Trump at a campaign rally last year for now-Sen. Josh Hawlery (R-Mo.). “They’re peaceful people, and antifa and all — they’d better hope they stay that way,” he said. The Washington Post said that Trump’s stated “hopes” at various times that the situation will remain peaceful provide him with “plausible deniability” should violence erupt.

But it’s “clear” from his repeated comments that he’s suggesting his supporters from the military, law enforcement and bikers “could be tempted to rise up if things don’t go Trump’s way,” the Post noted.

Trump’s former personal attorney and convicted felon Michael Cohen hinted at an American coup in his testimony before Congress earlier this month, warning that he feared if Trump didn’t win the 2020 election, he wouldn’t peacefully quit the presidency.

”Given my experience working for Mr. Trump, I fear that if he loses the election in 2020, that there will never be a peaceful transition of power,” Cohen told the House oversight committee.

Trump's trade war cost U.S. economy $7.8 billion in 2018: study


WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump’s trade battles cost the U.S. economy $7.8 billion in lost gross domestic product in 2018, a study by a team of economists at leading American universities published this week showed.

Authors of the paper said they analyzed the short-run impact of Trump’s actions and found that imports from targeted countries declined 31.5 percent while targeted U.S. exports fell by 11 percent. They also found that annual consumer and producer losses from higher costs of imports totaled $68.8 billion.

“After accounting for higher tariff revenue and gains to domestic producers from higher prices, the aggregate welfare loss was $7.8 billion,” or 0.04 percent of GDP, the researchers said.

The study was authored by a team of economists at the University of California Berkeley, Columbia University, Yale University and University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and published by the National Bureau of Economic research. www.nber.org/papers/w25638

Having dubbed himself the “tariff man,” Trump pledged on both the campaign trail and as president to reduce the trade deficit by shutting out unfairly traded imports and renegotiating free trade agreements.

Trump has pursued a protectionist trade agenda to shield U.S. manufacturing. Washington and Beijing have been locked in a tit-for-tat tariff battle for months as imposing unilateral tariffs to combat, and Trump has imposed tariffs that have roiled the European Union and other major trading partners.

The authors said while U.S. tariffs favored sectors located in “politically competitive” counties, the retaliatory tariffs imposed on U.S. goods have offset the benefits to these areas.

“We find that tradeable-sector workers in heavily Republican counties were the most negatively affected by the trade war,” the researchers said.

Washington (USA Today) – Tổng thống Donald Trump, sau vụ thảm sát tại nhà thờ Hồi giáo ở New Zealand, vào sáng thứ 6 đã xoá mẩu tweet quảng bá cuộc phỏng vấn với Breibart News Network, trong đó giải thích những người ủng hộ ông “cứng rắn” như thế nào.

“Tôi có thể nói cho anh biết là tôi có được sự ủng hộ từ cảnh sát, quân đội, sự ủng hộ từ giới mô-tô. Tôi có những người cứng rắn, nhưng họ không tỏ ra cứng rắn cho đến một điểm nào đó, và lúc đó sẽ rất tệ, tệ lắm,” Tổng thống Mỹ tuyên bố trong cuộc phỏng vấn với tờ báo bảo thủ.

Breitbart cho hay, ông Trump đang nói về những “chiến thuật bạo lực” của cánh hữu.

Tuyên bố của ông Trump lôi kéo sự chỉ trích, những người chống Tổng thống cho rằng, ông đang cổ võ bạo lực đối với những người ủng hộ. “Tôi nghe giống như ông ta đang cổ võ họ tham gia vào việc làm bất hợp pháp như hành hung, hay những hành vi gây nguy hiểm,” Thượng nghị sĩ Mazie Hirono (Dân chủ – Hawaii) nêu ý kiến. “Với tôi, nghe như đe doạ, tôi nghĩ thật kinh khủng.”

Người dùng mạng xã hội đã chỉ trích mẩu tweet của ông Trump khi tin tức về hai vụ nổ súng tại đền thờ Hồi Giáo, New Zealand, lấy đi sinh mạng 49 người.

Vào sáng thứ Sáu, ông Trump lên Twitter lên án vụ tấn công khủng bố. “Niềm cảm thông và chia buồn sâu sắc nhất của tôi gởi đến người dân New Zealand sau thảm sát kinh khủng xảy ra tại đền thờ Hồi giáo. 49 người vô tội đã chết một cách oan uổng bên cạnh nhiều người khác bị thương nặng,” ông Trump ghi. “Bất cứ điều gì có thể làm, Hoa Kỳ luôn sát cánh cùng New Zealand. Chúa ban phước lành cho tất cả!”
