...once upon a time...
July Morning
Songwriters: David Garrick / Ken Hensley
Artist Band: Uriah Heep
There I was on a July morning
Looking for love
With the strength of a new day dawning
And the beautiful sun
At the sound of the first bird singing
I was leaving for home
With the storm and the night behind me
And a road of my own
With the day came the resolution
I'll be looking for you
La la la la...
I was looking for love in the strangest places
Wasn't a stone that I left unturned
Must have tried more than a thousand faces
But not one was aware of the fire that burned
In my heart, in my mind, in my soul
La la la la...
There I was on a July morning
I was looking for love
With the strength of a new day dawning
And the beautiful sun
And at the sound of the first bird singing
I was leaving for home
With the storm and the night behind me
Yeah, and a road of my own
*July Morning*
In Bulgaria, there is a tradition called July Morning (Bulgarian: Джулай Морнинг) which is believed to be an echo from the hippie era of the 1960-1980s. Although not universally observed in the country, it is unique as it is not observed anywhere else in the world. Usually, in the days before 1st of July, people from across Bulgaria travel (often hitchhiking) to the Black Sea coast to meet the first sun rays on the first day of July. People gather around fires, share drinks, play music and wait for the sunrise. There is no mandatory ritual, ceremony or rite for this tradition and it is up to participants' discretion how will they spend the night before July 1. On many locations, there are concerts with professional and amateur bands. Camping at the locations of choice for the July Morning celebration is also very popular.

Be
a reason
Then
a season
Wouldn't it be enough
for a lifetime
lasted?

...do I care if it heals me or harms?
Independence*
Come to my arms, is it eve? is it morn?
Is Apollo* awake? Is Diana** reborn?
Are the streams in full song? Do the woods whisper hush?
Is it the nightingale? Is it the thrush?
Is it the smile of the autumn, the blush of the spring?
Is the world full of peace or alarms?
Come to my arms, Laylah***, come to my arms!
Come to my arms, though the hurricane blow
Thunder and summer, or winter and snow
It is one to us, one, while our spirits are curled
In the crimson caress, we are fond, we are furled
Like lilies away from the war of the world
Are there spells beyond ours? Are there alien charms?
Come to my arms, Laylah, come to my arms!
Come to my arms, is it life? is it death?
Is not all immortality born of your breath?
Are not heaven and hell but as handmaids of yours?
Who are all that enflames, who are all that allures?
Who are all that destroys, who are all that endures?
I am yours, do I care if it heals me or harms?
Come to my arms, Laylah, come to my arms!
Aleister Crowley
(1875-1947)
*Apollo: Greek myth god of the sun & light.
**Diana: Roman myth goddess of the moon/hunt/forest/childbirth.
***Laylah: Hebrew/Arabic myth of dark beauty, one who was born at night.

Just a silly thought for today:
Independence comes with the tag of xtreme loneliness.
Believe it not?
Ah, let's wait & see then!*

...Love is a stranger...
Where Do We Go From Here?*
Written and performed: Chris Rea
She's 24, she's 25
She doesn't know what's true or lies
Where does she go?
Where does she go from here?
He's 21, he's 22
TV crap is all he knew
Where does he go?
Where does he go from here?
She goes to shool
She stays at home
Wherever she goes, she feels so alone
Where does she go?
Where does she go from here?
They're 34, they're 45
They're so obsessed with the car they drive
Where do they go she says
Where do we go from here?
Love is a stranger, with a silicon smile
As you choke on your envy, down the magazine mile
You must look, but don't touch
You must buy, but don't feel
One day you will find out
None of it is real
Where do we go, where do we go from here?
