Chờ xét nghiệm dài cổ luôn. Hôm nọ đọc bài báo từ tờ The Atlantic nêu lên sự lãng phí trong việc xét nghiệm Covid -19. Nhưng từ trước đến nay, Hoa-kỳ, nhìn chung, còn có rất, rất nhiều sự phung phí trong mọi vấn để, không chỉ riêng gì vấn đề đại dịch.

Trước đây chưa có vaccine, việc xét nghiệm rất cần thiết. Nhưng giờ đây đã có vaccine và thêm nhiều thông tin về dịch, việc xét nghiệm tập thể và thường xuyên có còn cần thiết? Hiện tại thì coi như mọi người ai, ai cũng dương tính. Nếu những người có độ rủi ro cao được bảo vệ và dân chúng đi chích ngừa đầy đủ theo lời khuyên của Trung tâm Kiểm soát và Phòng ngừa Dịch bệnh thì việc xét nghiệm khi có những triệu chứng nghe hợp lẽ hơn là mỗi hai ba, ngày kéo nhau xét nghiệm, mặc dù không có triệu chứng.

Bên này lúc chưa có Omicron, tưởng ngon cơm rồi, bổ thận rồi, dzô mánh rồi, nên nói không còn thử nghiệm miễn phí nữa, em nào chưa chích thì thử nghiệm phải trả tiền. Bỗng nhiên Omicron ập tới. Chính phủ vội vàng "sửa sai", thôi cho thử nghiệm miễn phí "đại trà" tiếp.

Bên này thử nghiệm đông "hơn" quân Nguyên. Tụi dân tầm bậy tầm bạ cũng dựng lều xét nghiệm, chả biết có tin tưởng kết quả xét nghiệm đó hay không. Nhưng vô viện dưỡng lão thăm ông thân thì phải xét nghiệm, dù không biết mức độ chính xác là bao nhiêu. Nhưng ra ngõ là có, đi đâu cũng có, khỏi xếp hàng, khỏi hẹn gì hết, quá nhiều chỗ thử nghiệm. Miễn phí hết. Đi ăn tiệm cũng phải thử nghiệm nếu chưa chích mũi thứ 3. Thành ra phải tiếp tục miễn phí. Chánh phủ mượn nợ ngập đầu. Đời con cháu mình chúng nó trả nợ mệt xỉu.

China battles Omicron outbreak weeks before Winter Olympics

State media have described the outbreak as China’s “first real battle against Omicron”.

The team, led by Drs Peter Hotez and Maria Bottazzi from the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development at Baylor College of Medicine, has been developing vaccine prototypes for Sars and Mers since 2011, which they reconstructed to create the new Covid vaccine, dubbed Corbevax, or “the world’s Covid-19 vaccine”.

Although more than 60 other vaccines are in development using the same technology, Bottazzi said their vaccine is unique because they do not intend to patent it, allowing anyone with the capacity to reproduce it.

Corbevax’s clinical trial data has yet to be released due to resource constraints, but Texas Children’s hospital said the vaccine was over 90% effective against the original Covid-19 strain and over 80% effective against the Delta variant.

The vaccine’s efficacy against the Omicron variant is currently being tested.

The process to create the vaccine involves the use of yeast – the same method by which hepatitis B vaccines are produced.

Czech Singer Hana Horká Died After Intentionally Trying to Catch Covid



She was 57 years old, singer of a Czech folk group specializing in Irish and Scottish music. She decided to catch Covid intentionally, in order to avoid the vaccine, and now is unfortunately dead.

This is the story of Hana Horkà. In recent days she wrote on her social media that she was infected with the Delta variant.

“I’m very happy about it because in this way I would be able to start having a “free” life like everyone else, and go back to the cinema, on vacation, to take a sauna, to the theater”.

Her son, Jan Rek said: ‘She decided to continue to live normally with us and preferred to catch the disease than to get vaccinated.’

Two days before her death, Horka took to social media to say: ‘I survived… It was intense. So now there will be the theatre, sauna, a concert… and an urgent trip to the sea,’ she added.

Horka went for a walk outside but when she returned she started to complain about back pain and soon after, died choking in her bed.

An obituary of the singer appeared on the Asonance website and the causes of her death have not been specified.

Jan accuses several experts who have long spoken out against vaccination. “You took my mother, who based all her arguments on your basis. I despise you, you are an absolute waste,” he wrote on Facebook.

‘I know exactly who influenced her… It makes me sad that she believed strangers more than her proper family,’ Rek said.

‘It wasn’t just total disinformation but also views on natural immunity and antibodies acquired through infection,’ he added.

Horká joined the band Asonance as a graduate of the Prague Conservatory. “It is becoming the main trump card of the vocal section,” the band writes on the web.

They recorded their last joint album in 2019 with the title The Return of the King.

Surfing great Kelly Slater could be the next big name in sport to be refused the right to compete in Australia, with the federal health minister saying the 11-time champion will not be allowed into the country if he is not vaccinated against Covid.

“I think we’ve been pretty clear with the Novak Djokovic case of novax, no play,” the federal health minister, Greg Hunt, told Australian broadcaster Channel 9. “It’s a pretty simple message, doesn’t matter what sport, we’re even-handed. I hope he [Slater] gets vaccinated and I hope he competes.”

Slater, who has not publicly disclosed his Covid vaccination status, has aired some controversial views on the Covid vaccine, including an Instagram comment in October that claimed he knew “more about being healthy than 99% of doctors”.
