Kể từ khi chính phủ Hàn Quốc tuyên chiến chống lại những lời đồn đại qua tin nhắn trên điện thoại di động smartphone, người sử dụng internet tại Hàn Quốc đã ồ ạt áp dụng chính sách « lưu vong tin học » : Cụ thể là họ không sử dụng một ứng dụng tin nhắn của Hàn Quốc nữa và quay sang dùng một ứng dụng tương tự, đặt tại Đức, có những chức năng bảo vệ đời sống riêng tư tốt hơn.

Làn sóng « lưu vong tin học » này bắt đầu từ giữa tháng Chín, khi Tổng thống Hàn Quốc Park Geun Hye ra lệnh cho các chưởng lý tìm mọi cách chấm dứt những tin đồn, những lời thóa mạ nhắm vào bà trên các mạng xã hội. Theo nguyên thủ Hàn Quốc, những tin đồn này « đi quá xa và gây chia rẽ trong xã hội ».

Các biện pháp trừng phạt nhắm vào những ai đăng tải hoặc lan truyền các thông tin sai lệch hoặc tin đồn – kể cả qua hệ thống tin nhắn. Một chính trị gia thuộc phe đối lập Hàn Quốc khẳng định là các nhà điều tra đã khai thác khoảng 3000 địa chỉ và tiếp cận được các cuộc trao đổi của ông trên điện thoại thông minh.

Rất nhiều người Hàn Quốc dùng ứng dụng Kakao Talk để trao đổi với nhau. Khoảng 90% số điện thoại thông minh tại Hàn Quốc, tương đương 35 triệu người, dùng ứng dụng này.

Lo ngại thông tin cá nhân, đời tư bị soi mói, cư dân mạng Hàn Quốc quyết định thực hiện « lưu vong tin học ». Chỉ trong vòng có một tuần, Kakao Talk đã mất 400 000 người sử dụng.

Từ bỏ ứng dụng Kakao Talk, cư dân mạng Hàn Quốc đổ xô sang dùng ứng dụng của Đức Telegram và cũng chỉ trong vòng một tuần, đã có tới 1,5 triệu người Hàn Quốc tải nạp Telegram. Điều đáng nói là cho tới lúc đó, chưa hề có phiên bản tiếng Hàn của Telegram. Trước số lượng người tải nạp để dùng quá lớn, một phiên bản được dịch sang tiếng Hàn đã được đăng khẩn cấp trên internet.

Theo giới chuyên gia, Telegram có những chức năng rất tốt bảo vệ các cuộc trao đổi trên điện thoại thông minh. Đây là một ứng dụng miễn phí và có một phần mã nguồn mở, hoạt động trên cả hệ điều hành Android và iOS. Telegram là một công ty độc lập. Các cuộc trao đổi qua điện thoại thông minh được mã hóa và ngay cả công ty Telegram cũng không có chìa khóa mã hóa này. Có nghĩa là nếu tư pháp có ra lệnh, thì công ty Telegram cũng không thể giao nộp nội dung các cuộc trao đổi cho các thẩm phán. Khi dùng Telegram, các trao đổi qua « chat » sẽ tự động xóa sau một thời gian.

Nhiều người Hàn Quốc, như các nhà báo, giới hoạt động công đoàn, các tổ chức phi chính phủ hoặc thậm chí giới tài chính, nghĩ rằng, với việc dùng Telegram, họ không bị các cơ quan chức năng của chính phủ Hàn Quốc nghe trộm.

Trước tình trạng này, công ty Kakao ra thông báo khẩn cấp một loạt các biện pháp, như chỉ lưu lại các trao đổi trên máy chủ ba ngày, thay vì bẩy như trước đây, bổ sung tiện ích cho phép xóa hội thoại sau khi đã đọc.

Thế nhưng, vấn đề chính ở đây là các máy chủ của Kakao lại đặt tại Hàn Quốc và công ty này không thể làm gì hơn nếu như tư pháp nước này ra lệnh rà soát hoặc cho đặt máy nghe, đọc các hội thoại. Thật là khó để trấn an người sử dụng và ngăn chặn làn sóng « lưu vong ». Hiện tượng này cho thấy một thực tế : Việc bảo vệ thông tin cá nhân, đời sống riêng tư là mối quan tâm lớn của người dùng internet.

Điều trớ trêu là chính phủ Hàn Quốc đã tung ra một kế hoạch phát triển « nền kinh tế sáng tạo » đầy tham vọng, dựa trên các tiến bộ công nghệ thông tin. Thế nhưng, chiến dịch chống tin đồn lại gây tổn thất cho chính các công ty của nước này. Nói một cách ví von, Seoul vừa tự bắn vào chân mình.

Trên lý thuyết thì không cần hiện số điện thoại của mình lên, nếu chính quyền
muốn truy sẽ truy ra. Tuy nhiên nếu nhu liệu này có thêm phần "proxy lòng vòng"
thì chính quyền sẽ không truy ra được.

...thì được để trống, nghĩa là không có câu trả lời chính xác về an ninh trong StoryMaker.
Tuy nhiên ngay bên dưới đó thì có câu trả lời của nhu liệu app Orbot. Orbot là
nhu liệu biến hóa "proxy lòng vòng" dành riêng cho smartphone, có phương thức
chuyển tải dữ liệu và đường truyền theo kiểu "mạng củ hành TOR" mà tôi đã
có đề cập đến cả một mạch riêng rồi.

Theo tôi hiểu thì StoryMaker đã có ghép Orbit vào trong nhu liệu rồi. Cho nên vấn
đề an ninh tạm gọi là bảo đảm.

Hiện tại nhu liệu app StoreMaker chỉ phát hành với giao diện tiếng Anh và Ả Rập
nhưng tương lai sẽ có tiếng Nga, Tàu và Việt Nam. Chắc hẳn các bạn đã hiểu

What is StoryMaker?
It is an Android app to help people learn to produce better stories with their mobile devices.
Who wrote all the lessons in the app? What was your process?
The lessons have five different sections; Journalism, Security, Audio, Photo, and Video. The journalism lessons were produced by the International Center for Journalists (http://www.icfj.org/). John Smock adapted the lessons from their curriculum. John Smock (http://johnsmock.com/) is a professor at CUNY in New York. The security lessons were written by Brian Conley (https://twitter.com/BaghdadBrian), Small World News Co Founder. Brian has performed security trainings for a few years now, and has been focused on improving accessibility to mobile security for a few years. The audio lessons was produced by Mark Rendeiro (http://citizenreporter.org/), a specialist in online journalism, social movements and global conflicts. The photo lessons were produced by John Smock as well. The video lessons were produced by Steve Wyshywaniuk (http://www.wyshywaniuk.com/), Small World News co-founder and experienced videographer.
Why can’t I pick any lesson I want to start with?
The content is produced as a 101. We have structured the lessons to build on each other, so unless you take them in a specific order you will miss out on key details. If you are experienced and know the information then the quizzes should be quite easy to pass. If not, then you might be due for a refresher on the material.
What makes StoryMaker unique for producing stories?
StoryMaker is unique because we help you through the entire process of media creation. StoryMaker wants you to not only make great content, we want you to know why you are doing it.
How many steps are there in telling a multimedia story?
StoryMaker works with you to figure out that process. If you want to create a complex story you’ll need to produce 25 clips, but to make the most basic of stories you can do it in five clips.
Couldn’t I do this with any other app on my phone?
There is a world of exciting apps to help you simply produce content, but StoryMaker helps you learn to make your story great. Why specific shots work well for different purposes. With every clip you produce you will take a step to making better stories.
Can I add content I create in other apps?
You certainly can. StoryMaker supports the standard media formats on Android, and allows you to import any clips from the gallery on your phone.
What about editing?
Once you have produced or added all of your clips StoryMaker will assemble them automatically. You will have a chance to review your story, and if you have a preference you can drag and drop your clips to make the edit your own. Our basic story structures are strong, so feel free to let StoryMaker edit for you.
Can I add narration to my stories?
Currently you can only add narration to a photo slideshow. We are working on adding narration to other story mediums.
Do I need to have an internet connection to use it?
You need an internet connection to install the app and download the lessons. After you have downloaded all the great parts that make up StoryMaker you can use it wherever you fo and it will be fully functional.
What languages is StoryMaker in?

Currently, StoryMaker supports publishing to YouTube and SoundCloud. We support publishing to YouTube directly from within the app and to publish to SoundCloud you will need to setup an account and have the app installed on your phone. Can you tell me more about Tor and Orbot?
Orbot is an open source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source) client for the Tor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_%28anonymity_network%29) network on Android (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_%28operating_system%29) mobile devices. The client allows you to route traffic going from your device’s web browser, e-mail client, map program, etc., through the Tor network, providing anonymity for the user.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orbot#cite_note-ehack-2)Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis.

Orbot is the only app that creates a truly private internet connection. As the New York Times writes, “when a communication arrives from Tor, you can never know where or whom it’s from.” Tor won the 2012 Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Pioneer Award.

What was the most surprising thing when developing this app?
One of the most exciting things was handing StoryMaker to a colleague of ours in Tunisia. He had never handled a camera before. He asked us to stand there and he just moved the mobile around and seeing how standing in different places helped him line the shots up. He started by putting the camera very close to my face for a close up shot, and went through all of the different overlays and the different shots they represented. He learned what has typically taken hours of class time and countless trial and errors in the field in the matter of minutes.
