Morning Heat Map
The first thing in a sell-off is to open the morning heatmap.
What I normally do is to check out the heat map and then decide which areas I will be looking for “deals” on. This sell-off could be a one day affair, but I think what we are going to see is a big move lower today and then smaller moves lower before it dies out. Don’t forget, the economy at present is doing well. We do not move into a bear market in an expanding economy. Instead we see corrections which at times can feel as bad as a bear market. I don’t believe this is one of those times.
If you don’t like the one from your broker, then one of the better free ones online can be found at finviz.com. This heat map service is free and contains a wealth of other information as well.
