Nhưng trẻ Đại Hàn lại không thích ứng được vì chúng cho rằng biết Anh văn để mà biết chứ không phải để mà thấm và sử dụng được nó khi cần. Sự khai phóng này là trách nhiệm của người lớn, của nền giáo dục sở tại.

Chuyện thi với chuyện giáo dục đúng là khác nhau, nhưng thời buổi này đi học chỉ để đi thi.
Hồi nẳm vô đại học (hông phải đi du lịch nha chị Du lan) có quen nhiều sinh viên Đại hàn sang du học. Hỏi tụi nó thích đi học ngoại quốc cho xa nhà thì đứa nào cũng nói tại vì hông vô được đại học trong nước nên qua Mỹ học.
Đại hàn dân đông mà trường ít, khó vô lắm. Được học ở một số đại học trong nước ra trường dễ làm cho chính phủ, coi như là tầng lớp lãnh đạo quốc gia tương lai, hoặc là có việc làm vững chắc trong bộ máy hành chính.
Thi như kiểu Đại hàn chắc chỉ có mục đích xếp hạng thí sinh, theo thành kiến là những người cao điểm nhất tất nhiên giỏi nhất. Đề thi càng khó càng biết chắc ai giỏi, hông thể “ngáp phải ruồi” hay là “trúng tủ” nhờ học theo đề thi cũ.
Ở Mỹ không có thi vô đại học mà có test như SAT, LSAT để thử khả năng, nhưng nhiều trường đặt ra tiêu chuẩn nhận sinh viên mà không coi trọng điểm thi. Có mấy sinh viên Á châu thi có điểm cao mà vẫn không vô được những đại học nổi tiếng, tức quá đi kiện trường đại học ra toà. Đó cũng là một cách suy nghĩ kém cỏi, ham hàng hiệu, thèm cái tiếng tăm của trường, thích tự hào vì cái hào quang đi mượn.
