    Xe điên nặng:

run over three times by own car
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...mes-by-own-car

The 45-year-old had stepped out of her car in a residential area in St Gallen in northeastern Switzerland, probably in order to get something out of the boot, regional police said, according to the Swiss news agency ATS.

But then the car, which was on a slight slope, began rolling backwards.

The woman had attempted in vain to stop the vehicle, before falling to the ground and was run over a first time.

The car had then rammed into another vehicle and rebounded back in the opposite direction, running over the woman a second time, police said.

But the car then hit a sidewalk, sending it back towards the woman and running her over a third time, before finally hitting a wooden barrier and coming to a halt.

    Elon Musk of Kashmir

After Spending 11 Years On Research, Kashmir Teacher Invents Solar Electric Car

With our earthly resources running out and inflation being at an all-time high, electric cars do seem like they are going to be a prominent part of our future. While owning an EV might be a far-fetched dream for some in our country, this man from Jammu and Kashmir decided to take matters into his own hands - he invented an affordable electric car that runs on solar energy, after putting in 11 years of research and hard work.

    Elon Musk of England:

    UK automaker shrinks classic cars
    https://www.theguardian.com/business...r-big-spenders

The Little Car Company does what its name suggests, producing shrunken but drivable battery electric toy versions of full-size classics from the likes of Aston Martin and Ferrari.

The replicas start at €36,000 (£30,800), meaning they can only be playthings for the rich. But Hedley is not content with building small, expensive electric versions of big cars.

The company is launching an ambitious, even quixotic, effort to do the opposite: build a full-scale, road-legal version of a remote-controlled toy car that was popular when Hedley was a child. By next summer he hopes to launch a stripped-back, electric off-road buggy for £15,000.

    Elon Musk of Bicycle:

    Will Butler-Adams: Brompton Bicycle’s evangelist-in-chief
    https://www.theguardian.com/business...elist-in-chief

The number of Bromptons sold rose by a third to 93,000 in the year to March as city-dwellers around the world turned to two wheels as a way to stay healthy and avoid potential infection on crowded public transport. That came after a strong year in the previous 12 months when pre-tax profits soared 60% to £9.6m and the company paid out more than £1m to its shareholders – who still include the founder, Andrew Ritchie, who designed the bike in his shed in 1975.

The group now employs 800 people worldwide, including 650 at its UK manufacturing base in Greenford, up from about 400 five years ago. Together they pump out 100,000 bikes a year from one shift – or about 600 a day – all overseen by AI technology that helps workers choose which frame to assemble next.

They are not cheap. Starting from £850 for a basic model and rising to £3,970 for a four-speed, super-lightweight titanium version, one might expect such luxuries to be set aside amid a probable recession and cost of living crisis. But Butler-Adams insists his bikes remain affordable – in the same way as a car – as they can last decades, save time and money, and improve health.

    Tesla for toddlers:

Self-driving stroller aims to reduce parents’ stress
    https://www.theguardian.com/technolo...t-cost-of-3300

The Ella smart stroller by the Canadian startup Glüxkind aims to be the “driver assist” of parenting to bring the buggy into the 21st century. It is being shown off at the annual CES tech show in Las Vegas alongside various other gadgets.

The stroller is packed with sensors, motors and AI and is capable of driving itself when empty, keeping up with parents while they hold their infants and stopping automatically if it goes out of reach or encounters an obstacle.

Electric motors also aid when manually pushing the 13.6kg stroller, similar to an e-bike, assisting with inclines and automatically braking when going downhill, with speed capped at a maximum of just over 4mph.

Sensors on the handle ensure it is being held at all times when it is carrying an infant, to comply with safety regulations, while it has an automatic parking brake when stationary to solve any runaway pram issues. The stroller has space for up to six shopping bags, too.

    Xe lội nước:

    TikTok car-fishing craze
    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...t-rufford-ford

Rufford ford cuts across Rainworth Water, a small river east of Mansfield. But after heavy rain it becomes several feet deep and up to 30ft (9 metres) wide.

Over-optimistic drivers have a moment of realisation as their cars are turned into a boat. As their engines fill up with water, they are left begging onlookers to tow them out.

For years this was a local concern. Then in 2020, a local teenager called Ben Gregory started uploading videos he had filmed to YouTube of cars conking out in the water. Suddenly, a small Nottinghamshire lane was a global tourist attraction with an obsessive fanbase.

But the crowd control really began to get out of control over the course of this year as the videos made their way to TikTok.

The councillor said the ever-growing online attention had caused people to attempt riskier crossings in recent months.

    “There was a
motorcyclist who approached it at 50mph, went full pelt, and came straight off head over heels over the handlebars. He went so fast he bounced all the way along the water before collapsing on the other side in a heap. It is life-threatening.”
