Tài sản tổng cộng của 38 người có tài sản lớn nhất Nam California là $179 tỉ, với nhà kinh doanh Elon Musk, 46 tuổi, người nổi tiếng với hãng xe hơi Tesla Motors và hãng chế tạo hỏa tiễn SpaceX, đứng đầu trong số này, tài sản của ông được Forbes ước tính vào khoảng $20.8 tỉ, đứng hạng 21 trong danh sách 400 người giàu nhất Hoa Kỳ.
