Police in Shanxi province followed tracks made by machinery used to dig a shortcut through a segment of the wall – remains of the immense structure built by China’s emperors to deter foreign invaders.

The suspects admitted under questioning that they had used a digger to create a shortcut in the wall in an attempt to reduce local travel time, state media reported.

Images on Chinese TV showed the scene where a dusty road had been cut through a long, raised section of ground that appeared to be the remnants of the ancient barrier.

Thailand became the first country in Asia to decriminalise cannabis after it delisted the marijuana plant as a narcotic last year, leading to a boom of cannabis cafes and weed dispensaries in popular tourist destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya.

However, the failure to pass legislation to regulate its use has opened a legal vacuum in the country.

Srettha leads the Pheu Thai Party, which formed a coalition government with 10 other parties and promoted a hardline anti-narcotics campaign before the election.

Currently, anyone older than 20 and who is not pregnant or breastfeeding is legally allowed to use cannabis within their residences, and food containing its extracts can be consumed inside licensed restaurants.

In Zeitan, a town in the centre of the country, flower exporter Lihi Salpeter Danziger has organised 100 volunteers, working in shifts, to make funeral wreaths of roses and chrysanthemums that are then boxed and delivered to grieving families for free.

“You have to understand that there are no wreaths left in Israel any more,” she told Reuters. “People cannot get and cannot find flowers to take to funerals for the size of this event.”

Giờ dân Palestine lo "chạy giặc" qua láng giềng nào chịu chứa chứ ăn gì được. Cái nước gì có 4 chục cây số vuông, hông biết chạy đi đâu. Chắc phải né đường hầm Củ Chi của Việt cộng, tự vì Hámas trốn trong đó, bộ binh Do Thái chắc thảy hơi độc vào.

JERUSALEM, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Israel's military said on Saturday it killed two Hamas commanders who were behind the cross-border deadly rampage into Israel a week ago.

The military said it killed Merad Abu Merad, who was the head of the Hamas aerial system, and Ali Qadi, a company commander of a commando force.

Chính trị gia chỉ biết giải quyết tình hình trước mắt, chuyện đường dài để đó tính sau. Cứ “mắt đền mắt, răng đền răng” theo kinh thánh Do thái cho dễ. Cũng giống Mỹ đâm đầu vô Afghanistan với Iraq vì ỷ có sức mạnh, nhưng mà Mỹ muốn rút ra dễ hơn Do thái vẫn nằm sát biên giới với kẻ thù.

Ở trong cái thế kẹt đó chỉ còn cách thương lượng, nhượng bộ mà sống. Trả lại độc lập cho Palestine để lấy lại sự yên ổn cho người Do thái. Xài giải pháp quân sự cho một vấn đề nhân quyền, nhân đạo, đánh tới đánh lui cũng không thay đổi gì hết.
